What Is the Vine Mentor Program?
The Vine Mentor Program connects compassionate University of Kentucky students with local teenagers who need encouragement, guidance, and community. Rooted in faith and driven by a desire to see young people thrive, this program pairs trained mentors with teenagers who could benefit from a consistent, caring relationship.
Whether a student is navigating school challenges, family transitions, or simply needs someone in their corner, the Vine Mentor Program is here to walk alongside them.
Who Is This Program For?
Any teenager who could benefit from a consistent, encouraging presence in their life is welcome. Mentors meet regularly with their mentee to build trust, offer support, and walk alongside them through the challenges of adolescence. The goal is a genuine relationship — not a program.
For Teenagers & Families
The Vine Project is actively building partnerships with local schools, churches, and community organizations to identify teenagers who could benefit from a mentor. If your organization works with young people and wants to connect them with caring, trained mentors, we would love to partner with you.
For Schools & Churches
UK students who are compassionate, dependable, and eager to make a difference are encouraged to apply. Mentors receive training before being matched and commit to meeting regularly with their mentee throughout the semester. No prior experience is required — just a heart to serve.
